Powered Up is Blystra Arts' off-grid power systems. Blystra Arts is named after the old name for Newquay, Towan Blystra, and has a history of delivering off-grid performance and events including "Shakespeare in a Shed", film nights, powering the tech for dance performances and delivering unusual pieces at events such as "Connecting on the Court" in Newquay.

 

The desire to expand on delivering exciting events with a clean, quiet power supply has resulted in the creation of Powered Up. The development of our pedal-powered system using Cultivator Cornwall's Creative Investment Grant, and a self-funded expansion of our solar charging capabilities, both offer solutions to those thinking about powering an event or adding a bit of fun to any number of events, whether power will be on-hand or not.

Our systems are available for hire. For larger events we will have a technician on site to oversee set-up and delivery.
